It was four years ago today that Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California sent students home for wearing American Flag shirts on Cinco de Mayo. Some of the students and administration found the shirts to be disrespectful towards those of Mexican heritage.
Earlier this year, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Live Oak High Administration. The students were represented by the ACLU.
Those who teach their children to showcase pride for the USA and/or exercise their right to free speech should probably be a bit concerned.
