The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee runs this Thursday through Sunday May 15 – 18th.
The popular jumping frog competition is based on Mark Twain’s short story, “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”. Mark Twain lived in this area and frequented Angels Camp.
