Harris Perry Cries While Apologizing to Romney’s Family

On a video that we showed you last week, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry seemed aghast that there is an adopted African-American baby in Mitt Romney’s family. Scroll down a few stories to find the original video.

“Everybody loves a baby picture,” Harris-Perry said, “and this was one that really, a lot of people had emotions about. There on Governor Romney’s knee is his adopted grandson, who is an African-American, Kieran Romney.”

As Harris-Perry asked for captions, panelist Pia Glenn sang “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same”.

“And that little baby, front and center, would be the one,” she added.

This made Harris-Perry and her guests laugh.

Harris-Perry introduced the photo so that her guests could mock and ridicule the little baby. At the time, Harris-Perry seemed appalled that the Romney family would adopt an African-American baby.

However, this last weekend Harris-Perry decided to take time to apologize, saying that she crossed the line in attacking a member of Romney’s family. Then as she was apologizing to other families in general, who have chosen to adopt babies of other races, she appeared to start crying. Was this authentic or acting?

Regardless, last Sunday morning Romney said that he accepts Harris-Perry’s apology.

A News Years Eve Of UFO’s

News 10 Sacramento had this report on New Year’s Day last week.

According to the report, people reported seeing mysterious lights in the sky on New Year’s Eve, from Placer County to the Hollywood Hills.

Terry and Hans Mauth of Auburn said they watched a large egg-shaped object with a bright light shining upward drift over their neighborhood, then suddenly accelerate.

“There was no sound, that’s the funny thing,” Terry said. “Just this big illuminated form.”

Steven Brown of Sacramento reported a similar sighting above Belle Cooledge Park.

“Whatever it was moved up and to the left,” he explained. “It hovered there for probably about 60 seconds, then it took off at a high rate of speed.”

Kaye Pinlac of Stockton reported seeing multiple glowing objects that appeared in a formation.

“They were almost in a diamond or triangle shape,” he said. “Then they just started separating.”

Pinlac provided a link to a YouTube video posted Wednesday that he says showed a very similar pattern over the Hollywood Hills just after midnight, about the same time he watched the lights over Stockton.

Some News10 viewers said the lights might have been floating luminaria light bags, a suggestion dismissed by Terry Mauth.

“It was too huge to be a birthday balloon or something like that,” she said. “And it moved too quickly.”

The lights in the sky were apparently not seen by any pilots or air traffic controllers. FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said there was no unusual flight activity reported Tuesday night.

MSNBC Panel Mocks African-American Baby

On MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry show, the host led a panel of entertainers in a rundown of the “photos of the year,” which somehow included a Romney family picture that “a lot of people had emotions about,” according to Harris-Perry. The panel immediately honed in on the race of Kieran Romney, adopted grandson of former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“Everybody loves a baby picture,” Harris-Perry said, “and this was one that really, a lot of people had emotions about this baby picture this year. This is the Romney family. And, of course, there on Governor Romney’s knee is his adopted grandson, who is an African-American, adopted African-American child, Kieran Romney.”

As Harris-Perry asked for captions, panelist Pia Glenn sang “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same”.

“And that little baby, front and center, would be the one,” she added.

We’re confused. A lot of people had emotions about this photo? Harris-Perry’s own emotions seem to lean towards being aghast. Would she ever mock a baby photo of Barack Obama with his loving white mother?
