This crooked Chicago cop told the local media that they no longer had first amendment rights and then arrested them for standing around on the sidewalk:
Ron Paul supporters took over the lobby of the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame, CA last week at the California GOP Convention. GOP attendee Craig Newton, a retired prison guard on full pension, told a reporter from Reason Magazine that he’d like to “punch” a Ron Paul supporter or a Democrat “in the face.”
The Paul supporters took over the main display area at the hotel, and crammed into balconies and stairways. Rick Williams, a West Hollywood candidate for Diane Feinstein’s Senate seat, led chants of “End the Fed” and “Nobody But Paul”. The occupation was quickly dispersed by police and hotel security. Several conventioneers offered verbal support for the police as the Paul supporters were removed.
California Rep. Maxine Waters delivered a memorable speech to delegates at the California Democratic State Convention last month, calling House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor “demons”. To a cheering audience, she said, “Don’t ever let me see again in life those Republicans in our hall, on our screens, talking about anything. These are demons.”
Tony Bennett made a heartfelt plea to his audience, “First it was Michael Jackson, then it was Amy Winehouse and now the magnificent Whitney Houston. I’d like to have every gentlemen and lady in this room commit themselves, to get our Government to legalize drugs.” The drummer seemed to scoff and then suddenly laugh by what Bennett was saying.
