Louie Gohmert announced on Fox News Channel his plans to challenge Jon Boehner for Speaker of the House this month.

Declaring “it’s time for a change,” Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) took declared his opposition to Representative John Boehner (R-OH) for Speaker of the House.

“A poll came out Friday saying 60% or more of the Republicans in the country that voted in the last election, including independents who voted Republican, they want a change,” Gohmert said. “They want a different Speaker.”

Gohmert vowed to depart from Boehner’s tyrannical ways.

“We’ll get back to appropriating and go through regular committee process, so everybody, every Representative from both parties will have a chance to participate in the process and not have a dictator running things,” he said.

Mike Huckabee has left Fox News Channel. He says that he is thinking about running for President in 2016 and will make his announcement late this Spring. That should make it around May or June. Until he makes such an announcement, KVML will continue to run Huckabee’s radio commentary each weekday at 6:35 AM, 7:35 AM, 8:35 AM and 12:30 PM.
